If you forget your password please click the forgot password button after you have entered your login and an email will be sent to you with a new password.
9. What should I bring to set?
You should bring yourself - very early : - as well as : multiple changes of clothes in accordance with the directions on the info line that you check before any job. You should keep these clothes in either a hanging or rolling garment bag to avoid wrinkled clothes etc. You should bring your ID, your cell phone, and clothes that are neat and nice and reflect the aura of professionalism that you hope to convey.
10. How early should I be to a set?
We recommend that our talent plan on being to every set 30 minutes before the call time. This allows for problems with directions, parking, shuttling etc. Remember - you must be checked in by your call time - if you are not - you are late. If you are late, you may lose your spot.
11. What do I do if I need to cancel on a job that I was booked for?
You need to immediately get in touch with a Virgo staff member. Call 310.765.9024 x0 to reach our main office. If you cannot reach us immediately, please call the Emergency Contact number. This process is very important - please follow these directions carefully.
12. What does it mean if you check my availability?
When we inquire about your availability we are only asking you if at that exact moment in time you are available for a prospective job. That means that there is a job that you are being considered for on that day. You are not on hold or booked for that job. You may still change your availability concerning that job at any time before we put you "on hold" or "book" you.
13. What does it mean if I am on hold?
There are some situations that we may need to put you "on hold" for a given job if you were initially available. The hold period varies by job and will be elaborated upon by the Virgo Talent Representative that has called you. While you are on hold you should not accept other work and you must notify us immediately if you have an emergency that requires you to be removed from the hold status. We will always ask you if we can put you on hold before we update you to this status.
14. What does it mean when I am 'booked' on a job?
After we have checked your availability or placed you on hold you will get a final phone call to finalize your booking. We will ask you if you would like to be "booked" on the job. This is the last chance that you have to decline the job at hand. After you are "booked" you cannot cancel your commitment without an emergency and the validation of that incident if it is within 24 hours of the call time. You are finalized in our records for the job and will be billed for the service that we provided you as soon as you are "booked". We are not flexible on this aspect of the process. Cancellations are looked at with intense scrutiny and may result in termination. Also, after you have been booked you will be instructed to call an info line the night before the job as your FINAL confirmation. Please make sure that you call this line in within the time frame allotted.
15. What requirements are there to work with Virgo Inc.?
You must be legal to work in the United States, have a drivers license or passport, have a cell phone, have acceptable work attire, and complete the required internet registration and photo upload. We also highly recommend having reliable transportation.
16. How do I get my SAG Vouchers?
There are many ways to get the 3 vouchers that are necessary to become SAG. We recommend that you work hard on sets - represent yourself and the companies that you work for positively - keep a good attitude - and you will create the opportunities to earn your vouchers for yourself. We do not give people SAG vouchers or promise them under any circumstances. But we will do our best to get you on the sets where the possibility to earn vouchers is the most prevalent.
17. What is the difference between Union and Non-Union?
Union generally is a reference to being a part of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). They have set, negotiated rates for people that are part of that Union. In order to join SAG, you need to earn 3 Union vouchers by either upgrades, principle roles, etc. All of those that are not in the Union are referred to as Non-Union talent. Many of the Industry rules regarding the treatment and pay scales of talent on sets do not apply to people in Non-Union positions.
18. What does it mean to be an Extra or Background?
Background talent or Extras are people that are in the background of the required shot while filming. Generally they do not interact with the principle and rarely are focused on or get "face time". Generally these positions do not come with speaking roles.
19. What is an info line?
An info line is an extension on our main line (310.765.9024) that you call in order to leave your availability, confirmation of booking and confirmation of details (the night before the job). Almost every job that you are considered for will ask you to follow the process of calling our lines in order to be booked on jobs. First you will be called about a prospective job and given an extension to call in order to leave your availability (step 1). Next your photo will be submitted to Casting - after Casting has made their selections (and if you are one of them), you will receive another call instructing you to call an extension in order to confirm your booking. After you have confirmed your booking, you are considered booked on that project and required to call a final extension between 6pm and 8pm the night before the job to receive your details and to confirm (one last time!) that you have all of your information for the next day. We use info lines frequently - being comfortable with this system and utilizing it properly will significantly increase your bookings with us.
20. How do I check an info line?
Generally we will give our info line, 310.765.9024 x50-59, that you will need to call within a specific time range. Listen to the instructions on the line and confirm accordingly. Make sure that you listen to these lines carefully and write down any important information.
21. How do I pay my bill?
All bills are paid via your credit card. You must have a valid credit card on file in order to work with Virgo Talent. Generally you will be billed the day after the completion of a job if you were "booked" on that job. We allow this extra day to give you adequate time to address any issues before we bill your account. Please note that lack of funds or invalid credit cards left on file will hurt your future chances for work.

It is also crucial to keep a copy for your records in order to prevent any discrepancies between yourself and the Payroll Company or Casting Company. Also, it is important to note that the payroll company on the job that you work so that you can direct any questions concerning payment to them. Our business relationship with you is separate from either of these other types of businesses and does not depend upon issues between yourself and receiving your check. If I am booked (for a specific date) on a job through Virgo, and I get recalled on another set I was on, what should I do?

If you are asked to come back to a show that you are doing, and you were already booked by Virgo on another project, you must tell the people on that project that you have already made a commitment (with Virgo) for the day that you are booked, and that you WILL NOT be able to work for them on that day. DO NOT GET YOURSELF RECALLED IF YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE ANOTHER COMMITMENT. Recalls on other projects DO NOT take precedent over your prior commitments with our service. Please do not make this mistake.
